Update as of July 28, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. CST

Dear Abbey Delray South Residents, Family Members, and Team Members,

We want to provide an update on COVID-19 within our Abbey Delray South community. We learned Sunday, July 26, that four team members tested positive for the virus, all are self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team. By way of recap, we have six total active team member cases of the virus.

There are no active resident cases of COVID-19 in our community at this time.

We understand that you have concerns about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community, and many of you have questions. Please know we continue in our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.

As cases of COVID-19 have increased in Florida, Lifespace and Abbey Delray South continue to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage residents to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments. Residents and team members are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear a mask or face covering when you interact with others in public settings. Proper hand hygiene including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers are essential to preventing the spread of infection. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.

We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Abbey Delray South management team.

Thank you.
